The Nature-Led Philosophy Behind Camomile Lawn

People sometimes ask me how all the different parts of Camomile Lawn fit together.

Yoga.
Nature Flow.
EcoNidra.
Reiki.
Retreats and workshops.

On the surface, they may appear to be separate offerings.

But to me, they have always been connected by one simple thread.

Nature.

Everything I share through Camomile Lawn has grown from a belief that reconnecting with the natural world can help us reconnect with ourselves.

Finding space to pause

Before Camomile Lawn became what it is today, I spent more than 25 years working in aviation operations.

It was a world where focus, precision, problem-solving and responding to what was happening around you were essential.

I loved many aspects of that career, but over time I became increasingly aware of the importance of something that is often missing from our busy lives.

Space.

Space to pause.
Space to breathe.
Space to notice.

My own connection with nature became a reminder that life does not always need to be rushed.

The seasons do not hurry.
Trees do not compare their growth to those around them.
Flowers bloom when their time is right.

Nature has its own rhythm, and when we spend time reconnecting with it, we often remember our own.

Different paths, the same intention

The different offerings at Camomile Lawn have naturally grown from this same philosophy.

Yoga ~ moving with the seasons

Yoga is where many people first discover Camomile Lawn.

Of course, we move our bodies, build strength and create flexibility.

But yoga is also an invitation to slow down and become more aware.

The changing seasons, the plants growing around us, the trees outside and the essential oils we work with all influence the practices I share.

Nature is always part of the conversation.

Nature Flow ~ remembering we belong

Nature Flow grew from a desire to spend more time exploring our relationship with the natural world.

Through seasonal themes, gentle movement and nature connection practices, we take time to notice what is happening outside and reflect on how it mirrors what is happening within us.

It is less about learning about nature...

and more about remembering that we are part of it.

EcoNidra ~ where rest meets nature

EcoNidra is where deep relaxation meets nature connection.

A chance to rest while the world continues around us.

Birdsong.
The movement of water.
The breeze through the trees.
The changing light.

Nature becomes part of the practice.

In a world where we are often encouraged to keep going, EcoNidra offers a gentle reminder that rest is not something to earn.

It is something we all need.

Reiki ~ quiet space to receive

Reiki is perhaps the quietest way I hold space.

There is nothing to achieve.
Nothing to fix.

Just an opportunity to pause, soften and receive.

Nature reminds us that healing happens in its own time.

Just as the seasons unfold gently, we too need space and patience as we move through our own cycles.

Retreats, workshops and Nature at Work ~ coming together

Retreats and workshops bring all these elements together.

Time in nature.
Seasonal practices.
Movement.
Rest.
Connection.
Conversation.

They create a space to step away from everyday routines and return to what matters.

Through Nature at Work, this same philosophy extends into workplace wellbeing, creating opportunities for teams to pause, reconnect and explore how time in nature can support creativity, connection and wellbeing.

Because the need to slow down and reconnect is not limited to one part of our lives.

It is something we all need.

One thread, many paths

However someone finds their way to Camomile Lawn, my hope is always the same.

Whether they come through yoga, EcoNidra, Nature Flow, Reiki, a retreat or a workshop...

That they leave feeling a little more connected.

Connected to themselves.
Connected to others.
Connected to the natural world around them.

The offerings may look different.

But underneath them all is the same thread.

A gentle invitation to slow down, breathe and remember that we are nature too.
